My wife & I took an epic southwestern road trip last summer starting in southern AZ, hitting tucson, phoenix, flagstaff, the grand canyon & then onto hoover dam, vegas & up to wendover, UT. I have hundreds of pics because every mile we traveled was amazing. The southwest is mind blowing, especially to folks who grew up in crowded but otherwise very green & flat NJ. The grand finale of our 2400 mile excursion was to spend a day at bonneville, right at the beginning of speed week. Being a gear head my entire life, seeing this event was of course a dream of mine. Nothing can describe the salt flats, the cars or bikes, the sounds or the epic size of the sky. These pics do not do bonneville any justice. If you are interested in anything with a motor & wheels, you need to make it a point to get out there.

  1. That's my Pops in the first pic. Left of the truck, above the white cap in the foreground. He's head timekeeper for SCTA. Cool Pics.
